  • The applicant must be a citizen of a developing member country of the ADB.
  • At the time of application, the applicant must have a four-year bachelor’s degree or the equivalent of a four-year bachelor’s degree (equivalents could be a three-year bachelor’s degree plus one-year master’s degree or a two-year bachelor’s degree plus a two-year master’s degree, subject to review).
  • The candidate should have at least two years of full-time professional work experience after graduating from a university.
  • It is recommended that you take one of the English proficiency tests with minimum acceptable scores: 550 for TOEFL written, 213 for TOEFL computerized, 79-80 for TOEFL internet-based, 95 for DUOLINGO, or 6.5 for IELTS. A test result from within the last two years must be submitted.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Applicants should be under 35 years of age at the time of application (for senior officials and managers, the age limit may be 45 years of age at the time of application).
  • Ensure that they are in good health.
  • There is a requirement that students commit to contributing to the development of their home countries once the program has been completed.
  • Completed the application form.
  • Transcripts of academic work and certificates of graduation.
  • Providing proof that you are proficient in English (TOEFL, DUOLINGO, or IELTS scores within the past two years).
  • Describe your academic background and work experience in a curriculum vitae (CV).
  • There should be two letters of recommendation from academic or professional referees.
