  • If you are a citizen of, or have been granted refugee status by, an eligible Commonwealth country, or if you are a British Protected Person, then you are eligible to apply for asylum.
  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of an eligible Commonwealth country.
  • You should be able to begin academic studies in the UK by September 2025 at the latest.
  • By September 2025, you must hold a first degree with at least an upper second-class honors (2:1), or a lower second-class degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification (typically a Master’s degree) in addition to your first degree. For the application for a second Master’s degree, there is a need for a justification.
  • It should be demonstrated that the candidate has a financial need and cannot study in the UK without a scholarship.
  • It is required that all supporting documentation be submitted in the required format.
