GLOCAL Scholarship Benefits
- You pay no tuition fees. The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship and the GLOCAL consortium cover the full cost between them, deposit included.
- You receive full insurance coverage for the entire two-year programme.
- You choose between two payment structures. Option One pays €1,275 a month, plus three separate €1,000 payments timed around travel and installation costs. Option Two pays a flat €1,400 a month, with no separate installation payments.
- No more than 6 scholarships go to any single nationality across all four editions of the programme. This keeps the awards geographically balanced. It is a cap, not a guarantee that your nationality will receive funding.
- You still get an offer even without funding. If you apply for the scholarship but aren’t selected, you receive an admissions offer anyway, and can choose to self-fund instead.

Who Should Apply for GLOCAL?
Graduates with a strong background in business, economics, history, international relations, political science, or sociology should consider GLOCAL if they want an internationally mobile master’s degree across three university environments. You’ll also need to commit to one study track that matches your academic and career goals, since switching later isn’t an option.
How to Choose Between the Two GLOCAL Payment Options
Think about your upfront costs first. If you’ll need cash early for a visa, flights, or an accommodation deposit, Option One’s three €1,000 installation payments may suit you better, even with a lower monthly rate of €1,275. If you’d rather have one simple, higher monthly payment and can cover setup costs yourself, Option Two’s flat €1,400 is the stronger fit. Either way, you choose only after your scholarship is confirmed, in the pre-arrival Welcome Pack.
Why Apply for the GLOCAL Scholarship?
GLOCAL funds a genuinely international degree. You study across three university environments on three continents, earn a joint or multiple degree recognized by several institutions, and cover the full cost without filing a separate scholarship application beyond the standard GLOCAL form.
